This was a promotion for the new 'Herbie Rides Again' movie in 1974, showing at the Odeon cinema, Bridge Street, Stafford, England. Local VW owners brought their cars along for a display at the cinema. Here is another photo from the same time.

google hasn't updated its street view of a street in my neighborhood sense 2011! back then a guy on the street had this bug. i can't seem to get a shot from the back, but at some point in it's life it may have been rear ended cause the bumper didn't have the over riders on it and the paint (while matching) was a bit off. 30 years ago there was a light blue fastback in the driveway. both have sense disappeared.
